VILLAGE OF LAKEMORE
SANITARY SEWER OVERFLOW INCIDENT
The Village of Lakemore is finishing the plans for Sanitary Sewer Improvement Project Phase II in mid 2025. The Village of Lakemore, with the help of Great Lakes RCAP, will apply for funding with the Ohio E.P.A. to complete the work.
The areas that will be improved are:
sanitary sewer improvements in the area of Raymond Ave, Josephine Ave, Elizabeth Ave, Martha Ave, Wilson Ave, Sanitarium Rd (west end), Church St (west end), and Plaza Dr.
The sanitary sewage runs to a master meter for Akron. The City of Akron transports the sewage to their sanitary sewage treatment plant. These improvements will reduce infiltration of storm water into the sanitary system. Reducing the amount of storm water flowing through the sanitary sewer system will reduce the amount of sewage treated and the degradation of the system.
